Each year Northwest Hospital and Medical Center hosts a comprehensive Health Fair as part of the Northgate Festival.

Doctors and nurses from this world class facilty are on hand to anwser questions from their designated fields. A schedule of seminars is currently in the works and attendees may receive free health screenings, visit educational booths, and collect helpful healthcare information.

This years' Health Fair events includes:

• Free Cholesterol Checks
• Free Blood Sugar Screenings
• Free Sleep Apnea Tests
• Free Balance Tests
• Educational Information on smoking, cessation, colorectal health, prenatal care, geropsychiatry and much more!

North Helpline/Lake City/Northgate Food Bank is a
nonprofit that has been serving the north end of Seattle, Shoreline, and Lake Forest Park since 1989. North Helpline provides emergency food, utility, rental and transportation assistance, as well as infant and toddler care items to over
1000 individuals each week.

Our clients represent a growing population of financially stressed members from among the working poor, elderly, disabled, the underemployed and unemployed in our community. North Helpline functions both as a safety net and
a referral service to help these clients locate additional social services and employment opportunities.

With a mission to feed the hungry, keep families in their homes, and children in school, North Helpline also benefits our community by preventing homelessness, encouraging employment, and somewhat relieving the financial pressures that lead to domestic and community criminal behavior.
